Line Cook / Prep Cook – Restaurant Kitchen Staff

Job Summary

In this role, you will manage your cooking station, execute recipes with precision, maintain high sanitation standards, and keep our fast-paced kitchen running smoothly. Whether you are an experienced cook or looking to grow your culinary skills, we welcome passionate team players to apply!

Key Responsibilities

• Food Preparation & Cooking: Prepare, cook, and line-plate hot and cold dishes following established Hofbräuhaus recipes, portion control, and presentation standards.
• Station Management: Set up, stock, and maintain cooking stations with necessary foodstuff, utensils, and supplies before, during, and after shifts.
• Kitchen & Food Safety: Strict adherence to sanitation, food safety, and health code regulations, including proper food storage, labeling, and minimizing waste/spoilage.
• Equipment Care: Safely operate, clean, sanitize, and perform basic preventive maintenance on kitchen equipment, tools, and utensils.
• Waste & Sustainability Management: Segregate waste properly and participate in restaurant recycling, waste reduction, and energy/water conservation efforts.
• Team Collaboration: Support chefs and kitchen colleagues by retrieving stock, maintaining appropriate inventory levels of dishes/utensils, and promoting a safe, positive workplace.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Experience:
• • Line Cook: 1+ years of restaurant cooking experience preferred (will train the right candidate).
  • Prep Cook: 6+ months of restaurant experience preferred.
• Skills & Knowledge: Familiarity with basic food preparation techniques, kitchen safety, and commercial equipment operation.
• Flexibility: Willingness to work flexible shifts based on business needs, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Team Player: Positive attitude, high energy, strong work ethic, and a commitment to quality.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods during shift hours.
• Ability to lift, push, pull, and carry items up to 50 lbs (pans, food trays, supplies).
• Reaching, bending, and manual dexterity required for food preparation and cleaning.

Compensation & Benefits

• Pay Range: $18.00 – $20.00 / hour
