Location Houston, TX Role Overview Our Commodity & Energy Trading practice is looking for experienced Senior Consultants to join the team. What you will be doing Strategy & Commercial Advisory – US market entry and establishment, commercial trading & hedging strategy, commercial collaboration models, book structure & transfer pricing Business Capability Development – trading capability assessment & benchmarking, trading capability design, operating & organization design, business process design, business change program planning, business & IT readiness & training, operational excellence Risk & Regulatory Advisory – risk strategy definition, risk management policy design, risk capability assessment & design (market, credit, operational, climate, etc.), regulatory & compliance capability assessment & design (KYC, AML, trade surveillance, etc.) Data & Analytics Advisory – data & analytics strategy / architecture design, data & analytics solution design & delivery Technology Advisory & Transformation – technology strategy & architecture design, IT operating model design, technology capability building, technology program QA & health checks, vendor selection & implementation Your Skills and Experience 4+ years experience in a consulting or industry role, with experience in Commodity & Energy Trading initiatives Strong client delivery and relationship‑building skills, with deep advisory expertise in commodity trading markets Experience in crude oil, refined products, natural gas liquids, petrochemicals, and freight trading markets Comprehensive understanding of the energy and petrochemicals value chains Capability assessments and target operating model development for trading organizations Experience leading business and IT transformation programs, including change management Experience in advisory support for market entry and trading readiness initiatives Knowledge of risk management frameworks and regulatory compliance Experience in strategy, design, and implementation of advanced analytics platforms for trading organizations Experience in client‑side advisory for modernizing trading systems, focusing on market‑leading vendor solutions such as OpenLink and RightAngle Benefits Medical, dental, and vision insurance at no cost for employee‑only coverage Company‑paid group term life, short‑term disabled, long‑term disabled, and travel insurance Participation in our 401(k) retirement plan; company contributes 3% of your base salary and matches up to an additional 2% if you contribute Pre‑tax commuter benefits, Health Savings Account, Flexible Spending Account, and Dep‑Care FSA options Baringa People Fund – opportunities for wellbeing activities outside of work Paid parental leave of 16 weeks for primary caregivers Learning courses and resources to grow skills and knowledge Five weeks of annual leave, with an additional two‑week recharge after five years Diversity, Inclusion, and Equal Opportunity We are proud to be an Equal Opportunity Employer.
