Our organization is excited to announce the opening of a new facility located at 6225 Sharlands Ave. in Northwest Reno, which will enhance our service offerings. This location will provide acute rehabilitation and adult behavioral health services.

The acute rehabilitation services we provide encompass occupational, speech, and physical therapy aimed at adults recovering from strokes, injuries, or other disabling conditions. Our advanced treatments cater to a variety of issues, including strokes, brain injuries, amputations, neurological disorders, major traumas, and spinal cord injuries. Patients will benefit from private rooms, access to a newly renovated therapy gym, and personalized care from our skilled staff.

The adult behavioral health services represent an expansion of our existing program for individuals aged 50 and older. This new initiative will extend behavioral health services to all adults aged 18 and above. Our multidisciplinary team, which includes physicians, nurses, CNAs, social workers, and therapists, will manage the department. Patients will receive tailored care plans that include individual and family therapy, activities, medication management, and a secure, compassionate environment available 24/7.

This opportunity for a Float Pool Registered Nurse in the Rehab/Behavioral Health Unit is available on a per diem basis, offering a flexible schedule. The ideal candidate will provide both direct and indirect patient care with compassion and respect. You will communicate with physicians regarding any changes in patients' clinical conditions and respond swiftly and accurately to any alterations in their status or treatment responses. Additionally, you will perform general nursing duties across various departments with appropriate supervision and must be willing to float to Med/Surg/Tele units.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

• Exhibit supportive behaviors necessary for conducting bedside reports using IMAP & SBAR, performed in collaboration with the patient in their room.
• Deliver direct patient care, assess outcomes, consult with specialists as needed, and modify nursing care processes to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
• Conduct comprehensive head-to-toe assessments on all patients and perform reassessments as per policy, including pediatric, adolescent, geriatric, and general patient populations.
• Effectively assess and reassess pain levels, employing appropriate pain management techniques and educating patients and families about pain management strategies.

• A minimum of two years of acute care experience.
