PGA 1st Assistant Professional

The 1st Assistant Golf Professional plays a key leadership role in delivering a world‑class golf experience at Manele Golf Course. This position supports the Head Golf Professional in overseeing daily golf operations, enhancing guest engagement, mentoring staff, and retail performance. The ideal candidate is passionate about hospitality, detail‑oriented, and thrives in a luxury resort environment. Experience Required PGA Member in good standing 2 years in leadership position/leading teams preferred Luxury Hospitality experience preferred Essential Responsibilities Customer service oriented, attention to detail, ability to maintain an organized workspace, maintain professionalism and composure in a high‑paced, high‑volume environment. Assist with tee sheet management, reservations, and pace-of-play monitoring. CPR/First Aid skills/certification not required but preferred Perform other tasks or projects assigned by management. Ability to multi-task Provide exceptional guest service to members and resort guests while maintaining the highest standards of professionalism. Assist in the daily operation of the golf shop including merchandising, inventory control, and point‑of‑sale transactions. Coordinate and administer golf tournaments, outings, and special events from planning through execution. Assist with tee sheet management, reservations, and pace-of-play monitoring. Conduct individual and group golf instruction including clinics and junior golf programs. Support merchandising strategies to drive retail sales in the golf shop. Supervise and assist with training outside operations staff and golf shop staff. Ensure proper presentation and organization of the golf shop and surrounding areas. Maintain accurate records for tournaments, handicap systems, and customer databases. Work closely with corporate groups in soliciting and offering retail products, increasing retail revenue generated from these organizations in the resort. Uphold all facility policies, safety standards, and service guidelines.
