HVAC Service Technician - Residential

The Romanoff Group of Companies, headquartered in Columbus, Ohio, with offices in eleven markets covering eight states, are a blend of commercial and residential, electrical, heating & cooling, and plumbing companies primarily serving the new housing construction market. Job Type: Full‑time Position Summary The HVAC Service Technician (Residential) is a key member of the team, responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining systems or equipment in residential settings. The role requires technical expertise, strong problem‑solving skills, and a commitment to excellent customer service. Position Responsibilities Troubleshoot and diagnose a variety of service issues. Perform repairs, part replacements, and system maintenance. Manage materials, schedules, and ensure quality work. Communicate effectively with customers and team members. Document work performed and report recurring issues to management. Be available for on‑call and overtime work as needed. Follow all applicable safety guidelines and regulations. Perform additional duties as assigned. Qualifications Required: Relevant experience in service work. Required: High school diploma or GED. Required: Valid driver’s license. Preferred: Certifications or licenses relevant to the specific trade. Physical Demands Must be able to adhere to large amounts of standing, walking, bending, squatting, sitting, and lifting. Must be able to pick up, lift, carry, and move up to 50 lbs. Must be able to work in all weather conditions (including heat, rain, cold, and wind) while wearing appropriate PPE. Standard Work Schedule Monday–Friday: 7:00 am–4:00 pm. Must be willing to be flexible as jobs may change.
