Locum tenens coverage is sought to support continuity of pulmonology services across inpatient and outpatient settings. Clinicians on assignment may visit the Newark Museum of Art, Branch Brook Park, and the New Jersey Performing Arts Center. About the Clinician's Workday The pulmonologist will operate on an alternating weekly schedule, covering 1 week of inpatient rounding with call responsibilities followed by 1 week of outpatient clinic duties, totaling 40 hours per week. Inpatient responsibilities include managing a census of approximately 8 patients per day, with call coverage required on a 1 week on, 1 week off basis. Outpatient clinic duties involve evaluating approximately 15 patients per day across scheduled clinic sessions. Required procedures for this assignment include bronchoscopy, thoracentesis, and chest tube placement. Board certification in Pulmonary Disease is required for all clinicians in this role.
