Key Responsibilities

In this role, your day-to-day responsibilities will include:

• Evaluating and treating patients recovering from orthopedic injuries, diseases, or surgeries using evidence-based practices.
• Designing and implementing customized treatment plans that address each patient's unique needs and therapeutic goals.
• Utilizing a variety of treatment methods, such as therapeutic exercises, manual therapy, and modern modalities to improve pain management and mobility.
• Monitoring patient progress, adjusting treatment plans as necessary, and documenting all interventions and outcomes effectively.
• Educating patients and their families about the rehabilitation process, self-care strategies, and safe use of assistive devices when needed.
• Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to ensure cohesive care and to address patients' holistic needs.
• Continuing professional development by attending workshops and participating in relevant professional networks to stay updated on industry best practices.

Patient Population / Client Focus

As an Orthopedic Physical Therapist, you will primarily work with a diverse patient population, including individuals recovering from orthopedic surgeries, athletic injuries, workplace injuries, and age-related conditions affecting mobility. Our clinic welcomes patients of all ages, from children to seniors, each requiring unique treatment approaches and strategies aimed at promoting functional independence and enhancing overall well-being.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate for this position will possess the following qualifications:

• A Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy or a related field; a Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) is preferred.
• Current state licensure as a Physical Therapist in Florida.
• A minimum of two years of relevant clinical experience in orthopedic physical therapy.
• Current certification in CPR.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to build rapport with patients and their families.

Preferred Experience
