Automotive Sales Consultant

As an Automotive Sales Consultant, you'll be part of a dynamic team where your ambition and hard work can lead to professional advancement and financial success. Your primary responsibility is to sell or lease new and pre-owned vehicles in alignment with the dealership's goals for gross profit, sales volume, and customer satisfaction. You will be the face of the dealership, guiding customers through every step of the vehicle purchasing or leasing process with professionalism, product knowledge, and a focus on building lasting relationships.

Primary Responsibilities

1. Completes all aspects of the "Kayser Walk Around Process"
2. Utilizes Kayser's CRM software and the most current form of a Kayser Purchase Proposal.
3. Approaches, greets with standard greeting, and offers assistance or direction to any customer who enters the dealership showroom or sales lot.
4. Assists customers in selecting a vehicle by asking questions and listening carefully to their responses.
5. Explains fully product performance, application, and benefits to prospects.
6. Describes all optional equipment available for customer purchase.
7. Offers test drives to all prospects. Follows dealership procedure to obtain proper identification from customer prior to test drive.
8. Utilizes dealership CRM software to follow-up with and maintain all prospects.
9. Exhibits high level of commitment to customer satisfaction.
10. Knows and understands the federal, state, and local laws which govern retail automotive sales.
11. Establishes personal income goals that are consistent with dealership standards of productivity, and devises a strategy to meet those goals.
12. Attends product and sales training courses as requested by Sales Manager.
13. Keeps abreast of new products, features, accessories, etc. and their benefits to customers.
14. Ensures that the Sales Manager has an opportunity to meet each customer.
15. Turns 100 percent of closed deals to Finance and Insurance Manager, along with properly completed paperwork (insurance information, trade title, etc.)
16. Writes complete sales orders and processes paperwork in accordance with established dealer policies.
17. Delivers vehicles to customers, ensuring that the customer understands the vehicle's operating features, warranty, and paperwork.
18. Introduces customers to Service department personnel to emphasize to them the quality and efficiency of service repairs and maintenance available in the dealership's Service department.
19. Follows up on all post-delivery items, "we-owes", and special requests to be sure that all customers' expectations are met.
20. Maintains an owner follow-up system that encourages repeat and referral business and contributes to customer satisfaction.
21. Reviews and analyzes actions at the end of each day, week, month, and year to determine how to better utilize time and plans more effectively.
22. Maintains professional appearance.
23. Assists the Sales Manager/General Manager with other projects and duties as assigned.

Certificates, Licenses and Registrations

• A Wisconsin sales license must be maintained.
• A valid driver's licenses must be maintained with an acceptable driving record.
• GM certifications must be maintained at the minimum level.
