Varsity Boys Soccer Assistant Coach

The Croton-Harmon UFSD is looking for a varsity boys soccer assistant coach for the fall 2026 season. We are looking for a dedicated, knowledgeable, and positive role model to support our student-athletes and program goals. The coach will possess substantial knowledge of the technical aspects of the sport, and have the ability to organize and supervise a total sports program. Previous successful coaching experience in assigned sport is necessary, along with necessary coaching certifications, including first aid, CPR, AED, and concussion. The coach will serve as an appropriate role model and mentor through his/her instructions and actions. The stipend for the fall 2026 athletic season is $4,878 as outlined by section 1.

The coach will report to the athletic director, who provides overall objectives and final evaluation. The job goals include instructing athletes in the fundamental skills, strategy, and physical training, upgrading knowledge and skills through coaching clinics, observations, consultation, etc. The coach will have a thorough knowledge of all the athletic policies approved by the Croton-Harmon community, maintain discipline, adjust grievances, and work to increase morale and cooperation. The coach will perform other duties assigned by the athletic director/principal, assist in the preparations to hold scheduled sport events/practices, and adhere to scheduled facility times. The coach will provide documentation to fulfill state and system requirements concerning physical examinations, parental consent, and eligibility. Proper safeguards for maintenance and protection of assigned equipment sites will be provided. The coach will advise the athletic director and recommend policy, method, or procedural changes. Training rules and any other unique regulations of the sport will be provided to each athlete. Programs and policies concerning injuries, medical attention, and emergencies will be initiated. Athletes will be assisted in their college or advanced educational selection. Equipment guidelines will be recommended as to type, style, color, or technical specifications. All doors, lights, windows, locks, and alarms will be secured before leaving the building if custodians are not on duty. Each player will be instilled with a respect for equipment and school property, its care, and proper use. The sport will be promoted within the school through recruiting athletes who are not in other sports. The sport and team will be promoted outside the school through social media, news media, etc. Croton-Harmon school district embraces diversity in our workplace and in our schools.
