Job Summary and Responsibilities
As an MRI Technologist you will be responsible for performing high-quality magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) examinations to assist in diagnosing medical conditions.
Every day you will prepare patients for scans operate advanced MRI equipment ensure patient safety in the magnetic environment and accurately capture detailed anatomical images.
To be successful you will demonstrate expert technical proficiency in MRI meticulous attention to detail for image quality and safety and excellent patient communication to ensure a comfortable and effective diagnostic experience.
- Prepares and operates MRI equipment for patient scans ensuring quality results and adherence to safety protocols.
- Tailors imaging protocols to each patient optimizing image quality and recognizing/adjusting for unusual findings.
- Prepares patients for MRI procedures including thorough screening explanation and positioning.
- Maintains accurate records of exams and patient information including image processing and archival.
- Ensures the availability of necessary supplies and equipment through inventory and ordering.
- Supports general office duties patient flow and responds to patient care needs as required.
Job Requirements
- Graduation from an accredited school of Radiological Technology upon hire and
- Lead: One year of work experience in the senior level of the job family or any combination of experience or education that would demonstrate the ability to perform the duties of the position.
- Basic Life Support - CPR upon hire and
- Medical Radiographer: WA upon hire and
- Registered Technologist Radiography ARRT upon hire or
- Registered Technologist Magnetic Resonance Imaging upon hire
