About the Position

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: RN Specialty: Medical Surgical Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: 2+ years License: Required to work as an RN in the state Certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS Must-Have Skills/Experience: Med/Surg experience. Description: The position is for a Registered Nurse specializing in Medical Surgical care. The role involves providing care to a diverse patient population, including geriatric and adult patients, with limited pediatric cases. Nurses will be required to manage a patient ratio of 1:5. Clinical equipment includes vital machines, telemetry systems, and patient lifts. The electronic health record used is Medhost. The unit accommodates a total of 19 beds. Nurses will be expected to float to medical detox, ICU, OB, or ER as necessary, with appropriate task assignments. Weekend shifts will rotate every other weekend unless staffing needs dictate otherwise. The position involves a call requirement based on census; staff may be placed on call or floated. All Clinical Staff must be checked against the Tennessee Abuse Registry prior to starting the assignment. Candidates must hold the required certifications prior to the start date. This role is a replacement for a permanent staff member.
