Growing together.As a full time, non-exempt Optum/CPS Pharmacy Technician (Specialty Pharmacy) Services at Cadillac Hospital (part of the Munson Medical Center Health System) you will assist in various pharmacy activities under the supervision of a licensed pharmacist. Your responsibilities will include preparing, delivering, and restocking medications; performing order entry; procuring drugs; billing. You will carry out your job duties according to written procedures and guidelines based on pharmacy standards and regulatory requirements.Schedule: This position is scheduled to work at least 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday with some on call. People from around northern Michigan use Foster Family Community Health Center for pre-operative testing, pain management, rehabilitation therapies, urgent care, sleep disorders, and many other diagnostic services.About the Pharmacy: The Specialty Pharmacy will utilize PioneerRx or a similar program. The Pharmacy hours will be Monday-Friday from 9am to 5pm.Primary Responsibilities:Prepare and dispense medications by measuring, counting, labeling, and packaging prescriptions under the supervision of a licensed pharmacistProcess prescription orders accurately, including entering patient and prescription data into pharmacy systemsAssist pharmacists and healthcare providers by gathering necessary information and supporting workflow efficiencyProcess and coordinate specialty medication prescriptions, often for complex or chronic conditionsManage prior authorizations and insurance requirements, working closely with payers and providersCoordinate patient onboarding and refills, ensuring adherence to therapy schedulesHandle medication distribution logistics, including cold-chain management and direct-to-patient shippingMaintain detailed documentation and reporting, meeting REMS, FDA, and manufacturer program requirementsProvide high-touch patient support, addressing non-clinical questions and navigating access barriersEnsure compliance with specialty pharmacy regulations, accreditation standards, and quality metricsYou'll be rewarded and recognized for your performance in an environment that will challenge you and give you clear direction on what it takes to succeed in your role as well as provide development for other roles you may be interested in.Required Qualifications:High School Diploma or GEDMI Licensure/Registration/Certification requirementsNational CertificationProficient computer skills including experience using Microsoft OfficePreferred Qualifications:2+ years of pharmacy technician experienceExperience with Chronic diseasePay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, we offer benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements). The hourly pay for this role will range from $16 to $29 per hour based on full-time employment.
