Sr. Production Coordinator

Job Description

We are hiring a Sr. Production Coordinator for a top apparel company in NYC!

• Pay $39/hr
\n

Responsibilities

\n
• Interface with cross functional team members to ensure approval deadlines are met.
\n
• Ensure T&A calendar and Seasonal Milestones are being met and elevated to supervisor as needed, encompassing: PLM deadline, merchant call dates, merchant PO issuance, pattern and graphic art send dates.
\n
• Procure, review and assess new cost quotes, analyze history and elevate costing challenges to supervisor for costing options/ negotiations.
\n
• Communicate daily with overseas vendors regarding style development, production and delivery information.
\n
• Review outstanding issues on Production Status, take action accordingly and elevate to Supervisor as needed.
\n
• Work with Buyers/ Planners on garment cost, buys, production planning, liabilities and delivery.
\n
• Work with regulatory teams to approve main label wording and country of origin information on product labeling.
\n
• Lead touch base meetings with the Cross Functional Team.
\n
• Help to develop and improve tracking and record keeping systems.
\n
• Perform other duties as required inclusive of ownership of corporate special orders projects.
\n
• Manage external partners’ relationships by communicating and partnering with them on: Seasonal allocation strategy; production, product or costing challenges, initiatives or issues; factory loading / capacity planning.
\n
• Manage internal partners’ relationships by communicating and partnering with them on: seasonal IMU goals, volume, air budget and trigger strategy; seasonal allocation strategy and booking calendar; costing and TNA challenges as well as production or product issues.
\n
• Own seasonal costing activities encompassing: Securing and communicating IMU goals to team; reviewing and analyzing costs identifying opportunities for improvement and taking action based on IMU results; elevating costing issues to supervisor and executing to direction; communicating IMU results to cross functional partners; confirming costing at style level.
\n
• Review escalated PSR issues and determine action steps which may include: Giving direction to coordinator to execute, reaching out to Vendor / Agent to work on solutions and / or escalating to supervisor.
\n
• Able to work in a hybrid environment, meaning that some work may be performed remotely but certain essential functions must be performed in-person/in-office based on the needs of the business.
\n
• In person/in-office collaboration is required, the frequency of such in-person/in-office collaboration (e.g., portion of week, entire week) is dictated by business needs. Such collaboration includes work centralized around product development, milestone meetings, fittings, and approvals.
\n

Required Qualifications:

\n
• Bachelor’s degree in Fashion Merchandising, Business, or equivalent
\n
• 4-6 years related experience
\n
• Strong analytical, prioritizing, interpersonal, problem-solving, presentation, and project management skills
\n
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
\n
• Proficiency in tracking systems, specifically Bamboo Rose, to accurately maintain and update Purchase Orders, booking calendars, and related tracking documents
\n
• Demonstrate high proficiency in Microsoft Office (specifically Excel) and Google Suite to manage data and streamline team collaboration
\n
• Demonstrated collaborative skills and ability to work well within a team
\n
• Ability to work with and influence peers and senior management
\n
• Ability to work in a fast-paced and deadline-oriented environment
\n
• Self-motivated with critical attention to detail, deadlines and reporting
\n
• Ability to act as liaison between many departments; excellent communication and analytic skills
\n
• Must be detail oriented, computer literate and able to handle multiple tasks at once
\n
• Comfortable working in an hybrid environment - working in office as well as remote work from home
\n
