• Support the nursing care plan by performing delegated tasks.
• Ensure patient safety through proper use of equipment and supplies.
• Manage medication and supply retrieval for patient care.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the patient environment.
• Participate actively in cost containment and accurate patient service charging.
• Engage in educational and performance improvement initiatives.
• Perform waived testing and maintain required skills per unit competency.
• Demonstrate commitment to customer satisfaction and efficient patient throughput.

Education and Certifications

High school diploma or equivalent is required. Must hold a current Nursing Assistant certification and registration with the appropriate state regulatory body.

Experience and Skills

No prior experience required. Strong guest relations, verbal and written communication skills are essential. Ability to read English and accept supervision from a multidisciplinary team is necessary. Flexibility in work tasks and schedules, eagerness to learn new skills, and basic computer proficiency are important.

Physical and Other Requirements

Ability to work variable shifts with physical demands including standing, walking, bending, lifting, and patient turning. Visual and auditory acuity to observe patients is required. The position involves potential exposure to blood and body fluids, necessitating adherence to safety protocols.
