CNA I - Certified Nursing Assistant Night Shift

Overview: Join a compassionate healthcare team as a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) providing essential patient care during night shifts. This role involves assisting with patient admissions, supporting nursing care plans, and maintaining a safe, clean environment for patients in a medical unit.

Key Responsibilities:

Assist patients with daily care needs and respond promptly to their requests.
Support the admission process by orienting patients to the unit and equipment.
Carry out delegated nursing tasks to help implement care plans.
Maintain patient safety by properly using equipment and supplies.
Manage and restock supplies to ensure a well-organized patient environment.
Participate in cost containment and accurate patient service charging.
Engage in educational and performance improvement activities.
Perform waived testing and maintain required skills per unit competency.
Demonstrate responsibility in customer satisfaction and patient throughput.

Education: High school diploma or equivalent required. Nursing Assistant certification mandatory.

Experience: No prior experience required; on-the-job training provided.

Requirements:

Current registration with the appropriate state nursing assistant registry.
Basic computer skills and ability to read and write English.
Excellent communication and guest relations skills.
Flexibility with work schedules and ability to learn new skills.
Physical ability to stand, walk, bend, lift, and assist patients as needed.
Visual and auditory acuity to observe patient conditions.
Willingness to work variable shifts and exposure to blood and body fluids.
Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) from the American Heart Association.
