Human Resources Specialist

Our client is seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Bilingual HR Specialist to support day-to-day human resources operations for a multi-site workforce. This position serves as a key resource for employees and supervisors by coordinating HR processes, supporting payroll and onboarding activities, managing employee travel logistics, and ensuring accurate employee records. The ideal candidate is highly organized, customer-focused, and thrives in a fast-paced environment supporting field operations. Key Responsibilities Serve as a primary HR contact for employees and supervisors, responding to questions regarding HR policies, payroll, travel, lodging, and per diem. Coordinate employee travel arrangements, including flights, hotels, rental vehicles, and jobsite accommodations. Administer and track employee per diem eligibility, approvals, and payments. Review, verify, and process employee timesheets to ensure accuracy and timely payroll processing. Partner with supervisors and field management to resolve timekeeping discrepancies and payroll-related issues. Coordinate onboarding activities, including new hire documentation, orientation scheduling, and HR system setup. Maintain accurate employee records and HRIS data, including employment changes, assignments, and travel status. Support payroll by ensuring timekeeping information is complete and submitted within established deadlines. Coordinate communication between field operations, payroll, and HR to support workforce needs. Assist with employee performance review administration, including scheduling, tracking completion, and maintaining documentation. Prepare employment verifications, reports, audits, and other HR administrative documentation. Ensure compliance with company policies, employment laws, and confidentiality requirements. Qualifications Associate's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field preferred. 2+ years of Human Resources experience, preferably supporting multi-site, construction, industrial, manufacturing, or field-based operations. Experience with HRIS systems such as ADP Workforce Now or similar platforms. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including Pivot Tables and VLOOKUPs. Working knowledge of payroll processes, timekeeping, and employment practices. Bilingual in English and Spanish preferred. Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills. Excellent organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail. Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. Strong problem-solving and critical thinking abilities. Customer-service oriented with a responsive, employee-focused approach. Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with professionalism. Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and collaboratively across departments. This position is based in an office environment and regularly communicates with employees, supervisors, payroll personnel, and field operations across multiple jobsites. The role requires frequent coordination of workforce logistics and employee support activities. Physical Requirements Prolonged periods of sitting and working at a computer.
