Job Opportunity

Position Overview

This is an exciting opportunity to join a well-established healthcare facility located in Fort Worth, TX. The position involves working one night a week and two weekends within a 13-week contract. Please note that block scheduling cannot be accommodated for this role.

Shift Information

• Work Schedule: Varied Shift Times - 8 AM to 8 PM, 9 AM to 9 PM, or 10 AM to 10 PM
• Typical Coverage: One night per week and two weekends

Unit Information

The position is located on the 2nd floor of the Main Hospital in the Post-Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU), which is adjacent to the Operating Room (OR).

• Number of Beds: 26
• Staff Composition: Varies based on shift
• Day Shift: Charge nurse and typically a float nurse
• Night Shift: Closed, with 2 PACU nurses on-call
• Patient Ratios: 1:2

Equipment Used

• Electronic Medical Records (EMR): Meditech

Qualifications

The ideal candidate should possess experience in critical care settings with a focus on the PACU. Candidates who meet the following qualifications will be prioritized:

• Must-Have Skills: ICU or PACU experience
• Preferred Skills: Familiarity with a variety of surgical procedures, including general, neuro, oncology, orthopedics, and vascular

Certification Requirements

While there are no mandatory certifications required for this role, possession of Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification is preferred.

On-call and Weekend Work
