About the Position

Job Title: Float Pool RN Profession: RN Telemetry I Specialty: RN Telemetry I Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Nights Hours per Shift: 36 Experience: 2 years of acute care hospital experience; 2 years working as a Traveler License: Active RN License Certifications: AHA BLS, BLS, ACLS Must-Have: Must be willing to float between 8 different units Description: Float throughout the hospital to all Med/Surg Tele areas. Responsible for cardiac monitoring and administration of cardiac drips. Read and interpret telemetry strips every 4 hours. TR Band experience is required. Clinician to patient ratio is up to 5:1 during days and evenings, and up to 6:1 at night. Care for patients transferring from the ICU who are non-vented. Medications will be administered in an acute mental health unit. Patient population includes ED border patients. Units range from 8 to 41 beds. Rotation requirements include potential to rotate from days/evenings to nights. EMR charting system used is EPIC.
