Description
Department: Health Information Management (Medical Records)
Basic Function: To maintain and ensure accurate, complete and timely medical information for HVHS patients for continuity of care, requests for information, and to facilitate the coding and billing processes.
Qualifications:
Required: High School Diploma or GED equivalent. Proficiency with computers and healthcare applications. Successful completion of applicable clearances as outlined in Human Resources policy HR-106 within 90 days of commencing employment.
Preferred: Previous medical record clerk experience. Knowledge of medical record processes. Ability to utilize the terminal digit order numbering and filing system.
