Job Title

Registered Nurse – Medical Surgical / Telemetry

Location

Madison, WI | Acute Care

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Days | 3x12-Hour Shifts | 7:00 AM – 7:30 PM | Every third weekend and holiday rotation as required

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in a Medical Surgical / Telemetry inpatient setting
• Monitor and interpret telemetry rhythms, including identification of lethal arrhythmias
• Float to other units as needed based on staffing requirements
• Participate in weekend and holiday rotation as required
• Pass a facility-required Telemetry exam prior to start (Adult and Pediatric components; passing score of 80% or higher with strict criteria for lethal rhythm identification)

Required Qualifications

• Active RN license required
• BLS certification required – American Heart Association (AHA) only
• Minimum 2 years of Medical Surgical / Telemetry experience required within the last 3 years
• Inpatient acute care experience required
• Must pass a Telemetry competency exam prior to start; up to three attempts permitted under specified conditions
• Must live at least 50 miles from the facility to be eligible — locals not accepted

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience interpreting both adult and pediatric cardiac rhythms
• Familiarity with high-acuity, high-volume inpatient environments
• Experience working in a teaching or academic medical center setting
