Athletic GroundskeeperThe Athletic Groundskeeper is responsible for the school district's athletic grounds safety, maintenance and upkeep. Essential Functions:Work with Athletic Director in the care and upkeep of athletic fieldsWork cooperatively with all other school employeesPrepare athletic facilities for games and eventsIdentify needs for materials and equipment to maintain the grounds and playground equipment. Submit needs to the appropriate supervisor/administratorPeriodic checks of shrubbery, lawns and parking lots, and school property. Properly maintain grounds/school propertyPlan and carry out a maintenance plan for tractors, mowers and other groundskeeping equipmentLine athletic fieldsMow grass as needed, trim shrubberyRemove snow as neededPaint fences, clear fence rows and use weed killer where neededDrive necessary vehicles and groundskeeping equipmentOutline and submit plans for upkeep/maintenance of all school propertyEmpty outside trash barrels as neededCheck, repair or replace traffic signs on school propertyQualifications:High school diploma or general education degree (GED)Mechanical experience, with small engine and farm/lawn equipmentAble to follow oral and written instructions and place priority on requestsPossess the physical strength and dexterity needed to perform the assigned tasksPrior experience in groundskeeping/related fieldsSome experience in the care and lining of playing and athletic fieldsBe available to perform services required when emergency situations arise outside the normal working hoursValid driver's licenseSuch alternatives to the above qualifications as the Superintendent and/or Board of Education may find appropriateInformation on the position is available from Athletic Director, Mark Rinehart, at View email address on click.appcast.io or Superintendent, Sabrina Woodruff, at View email address on click.appcast.io.
