What You'll Do/Need (Job Summary):  The main duty of the Outside Sales Representative is to sell the products and services of Clifton Steel. The Sales Representative will research markets, find potential customers, contact customers, present the products and services to the customer, and evaluate customer needs. The Sales Representative will always be looking for ways Clifton Steel can meet needs the customer reveals. The Sales Representative will assist in coordinating interactions between customers and other Clifton employees as needed. The Sales Representative should regularly evaluate customer satisfaction and continuously strive to build and maintain their business relationship.

Responsibilities (Essential Duties and Responsibilities)

• Knowledge of Clifton’s products and services offered
• Identifies new customers and markets
• Keeps customer profile current and accurate by planning recording and maintains daily sales activities, calls, visits
• Evaluates customer needs, satisfaction and teach them something new about their business to aid in building and developing long lasting relationships
• Clear, continuous and open communication with manager and other Clifton team members about activities and details surrounding customers to complete tasks timely and effectively
• Regularly and timely follows up on all quotes, opportunities, request for information and any other requested or pertinent information to successfully obtaining business deals
• Strives to exceed goals and strategies

Minimum Qualifications (Knowledge, skills, and abilities required)

• College Degree in Business, Sales or relevant area of expertise
• Experience in Steel Industry including competitive knowledge, strength and weaknesses of competitors and customers
• Experience as an Outside Sales Representative

Physical Demands and Work Environment

• This job primarily requires the employee to work remotely and connect remotely to the companies Operating and email system.   This role routinely will use standard office equipment such as computers, phones, and printers.
• While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear. The employee will frequently be required to stand, walk, sit for long periods, and drive to customers.

Position Type and Expected Hours of Work

• This is a full-time position.  Norman days and hours of work are generally Monday thru Friday 8:00 am to 5:00 pm.  Hours required for successful performance of this job will vary and will require additional time and days to properly complete all required duties and responsibilities.

Travel

• Some travel is required for this position. Most of the travel will be local or day trips, but some overnight stays may be required.  The Outside Sales Representative is expected to maximize available time visiting customers and their facilities in addition to time spent building and strengthening the customer relationship.
