Qualifications:

• Valid Washington Special Education Certification required
• Previous experience as a Special Education or Life Skills Teacher preferred
• Demonstrated ability to develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs)
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills with students, staff, and families
• Dedication to fostering an inclusive, nurturing classroom environment

• Deliver specialized instruction to elementary students in a Life Skills classroom setting
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to support IEP goals
• Adapt curriculum and teach functional academics, social, and self-care skills
• Foster engagement, independence, and positive behaviors
• Monitor student progress, maintain records, and communicate regularly with families
• Create a safe, supportive, and engaging learning environment
