Job Title: Shipping and Receiving Specialist Job Description

As a Shipping and Receiving Specialist, you will be responsible for managing the packaging and shipment of electrical supplies. This role involves working in both shipping and receiving areas, handling a range of items from small labeled boxes to large electrical spools. You will play a crucial role in processing inventory internally and coordinating shipments to clients.

• Package and ship electrical supplies.
• Handle both small boxes and large electrical spools.
• Unload trucks and input products into the computer system.
• Utilize basic scanner and computer skills for inventory tracking.
• Coordinate shipments with vendors and track inventory using computer systems.
• Unpack and pack orders, verifying that all items are correct.

• At least 3 years of experience in shipping and receiving.
• Proficiency in using computer systems for data entry and inventory control.
• Ability to operate a pallet jack and forklift.
• Experience with RF scanners and material handling.
• Strong skills in picking, packing, loading, and unloading.
• Attention to detail and ability to perform simple math.

• Valid driver's license.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to articulate well and communicate effectively.
• Capability to pass onboarding requirements.

The position is based in a dry warehouse equipped with fans. Although the space is not air-conditioned, it remains comfortable due to insulation. Expect to wear work pants, steel-toed boots, and basic shirts. The role requires flexibility with shifts that may extend to weekends, especially during busy periods, with standard working hours typically from 7:00 am to 5:00 pm, and occasionally on Saturdays from 7:00 am to 3:30 pm.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Rayville, LA.

The pay range for this position is $17.00 - $18.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.

This is a fully onsite position in Rayville,LA.
