Temporary Collections Paralegal (Scanning Project) – Onsite | Pawtucket, RI Location: Pawtucket, RI (Onsite) Job Type: Temporary, Full-Time About the Role We are seeking a detail-oriented Temporary Collections Paralegal for a full-time, onsite document scanning project at the Judicial Center in Pawtucket, Rhode Island. This position is ideal for someone who has strong document management and scanning experience. While a paralegal background is helpful, the primary focus of this role is accurately digitizing legal case files. Responsibilities Scan historical legal case files located at the Judicial Center. Handle case files that remain in binders and cannot be disassembled or removed from the binders. Use one of two approved document scanners to digitize files. Create organized, high-quality PDF files for client review. Ensure all scanned documents are complete, legible, and accurately saved. Maintain confidentiality and exercise care when handling sensitive legal records. Qualifications Previous experience with high-volume document scanning and PDF creation is required. Strong attention to detail and organizational skills. Comfortable working with physical legal records and bound documents. Ability to work independently while meeting productivity and quality standards. Paralegal or legal office experience is a plus but scanning and document management experience is more important. Basic computer proficiency, including file management and PDF software.
