About the Position

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: RN Specialty: Med Surg Telemetry Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Nights Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum of 2 years License: RN Certifications: BLS Must-Have: Post-operative patient care experience, including ortho, neuro surgical, and abdominal surgeries. Experience with NG tubes, chest tubes, foley catheters, and respiratory issues. Ability to manage diabetic patients, sepsis, alcohol withdrawal, rib fractures, altered mental status, and pain management. Great customer service and patient experience skills. Description: This facility is a 198-bed level III trauma center. It includes state-of-the-art operating suites and provides healthcare services to a multi-state region. The hospital offers medical, surgical, and rehabilitation services, as well as a childbirth center, cancer center, nephrology unit, pediatric unit, and inpatient behavioral health unit. A day surgery center and extensive imaging and lab testing services are also available. The facility has received top awards and accreditations for various services provided. The community offers various outdoor activities, including hiking, kayaking, and historical sightseeing. The patient population consists of adults ranging in age from 18 to over 100. The unit has 24 beds with a maximum patient ratio of 1:6. The equipment includes IV pumps and vital sign monitors. The electronic health record system in use is Cerner. Candidates must be willing to follow all policies and guidelines while on the unit. The floating requirements may include medical, nephrology, inpatient rehab, and cardiology units, as well as pediatrics for adult patients only.
