Urgent Care Patient Representative

divh2Patient Representative I/h2pUnder the direct supervision of the Site Coordinator, this position is responsible for timely and accurate recording of patient demographics, insurance information, patient charges and payments. The Patient Representative facilitates patient entry into Cabarrus Rowan Community Health Centers (CRCHC), including greeting client, answering phone calls, and scheduling appointments./ppMinimum Qualifications:/pulliAbility to read, write and comprehend the English language./liliCommunicates effectively./liliMust be able to sit and stand for long periods of time./liliAbility to effectively maintain confidentiality of records and communicate with all levels of personnel./liliExperience: One year or less of clerical experience in an office setting/liliAdditional skills required: Requires excellent organizational, problem solving and critical thinking skills. Strong basic computer skills required. Able to maintain confidentiality and work collaboratively in a team environment./liliEducation: High school diploma or GED. Associates Degree preferred./li/ulpPhysical Requirements:/pulliRepetitive movement of hands and fingers typing and/or writing./liliOccasional standing, walking, stooping, kneeling or crouching./liliReach with hands and arms./liliTalk and hear./li/ulpKey Responsibilities:/polliDemonstrate the ability to express the high-quality level of customer service to all patients, staff, board members, providers, and vendors./liliCan verbalize knowledge of chain of command and direct supervisor information./liliReports on time and checks schedule and organizes patient flow./liliDemonstrates ability to obtain payment information and ability to create claim to be submitted for reimbursement./liliCan verbalize knowledge of required screening forms for UDS and other QI./liliMaintains accurate documentation and registration updates in EMR based on documentation procedures./liliDemonstrates ability to adhere to scheduling protocol as it relates to scheduling of all appointment types (including medical, behavioral health, psych, dental, ambulatory procedures)/liliDemonstrates ability to adhere to clinical protocol to assist patient with appointments and re-routing patient to triage as necessary./liliUnder adequate supervision, demonstrates ability to explain the sliding scale program to all patients and accurately process the program application./liliUnder adequate supervision, demonstrates the ability to compose messages to provider/staff regarding patient communication./liliDemonstrates accurate knowledge and comprehension of patient registration duties not limited to medical, dental, referral information, and insurance verification information./liliDemonstrates accurate ability to enter patient registration information into EMR system./liliVerbalizes knowledge of HIPAA, patient demographic, and benefits information./liliMaintains safe, secure, and healthy work environment by following and enforcing established policies and procedures while providing compassionate care to patients./liliMaintains patient confidentiality and protects operations by keeping protected health information confidential and secure./liliParticipates in mandatory in-services and drills, attends staff meetings and other trainings, including appropriate educational trainings offered on regular basis for professional development./liliMaintains strict adherence to infection control guidelines established by the organization./liliWork early /night clinic and weekends as needed./liliAbility to travel to other CRCHC to cover as needed./liliTranslation services will be expected upon request from management./liliPerform other duties as assigned./li/ol/div
