We're looking for an experienced Senior Tax Associate to join our tax practice. Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and review complex federal, state, and local tax returns for individuals, corporations, partnerships, and trusts
- Support tax planning and consulting engagements, including entity structuring, succession planning, family partnerships, and asset protection strategies
- Conduct technical tax research and provide well-supported recommendations to clients and engagement teams
- Manage multiple client relationships and engagements simultaneously, often serving as a trusted advisor rather than just a preparer
- Review work of staff associates and interns, providing mentorship and technical guidance
- Assist with due diligence, forecasts/projections, and other advisory work tied to business development and M&A
- Respond to IRS and state tax notices and assist with audit support as needed
- Stay current on tax law changes and proactively communicate relevant updates to clients and the team
- Contribute to business development efforts and help strengthen long-term client relationships
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required; Master's in Taxation a plus
- CPA license required or actively pursuing certification
- 3–5+ years of progressive tax experience, ideally in public accounting with exposure to closely-held businesses and/or high-net-worth individuals
- Strong knowledge of federal and multi-state tax regulations
- Comfortable working directly with clients and building trust-based relationships
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills
- Ability to manage competing priorities across multiple engagements
- Demonstrated ability to mentor and develop junior staff
