Accounting associate

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive entry level Accounting Associate to support a fast-paced facility. We are looking for someone with 1 to 2 years of accounts payable in a food manufacturing environment. This is a Temp-To-Hire opportunity. You must be able to work Onsite. Qualifications:

• 1-3 years of experience in Cost Accounting or related accounting functions in a food manufacturing environment
• Soldi understanding of accrual accounting
• Experience in a fast-paced, high-volume manufacturing environment.
• Familiarity with accounting systems such as UMS and Microsoft Dynamics NAV (NAV) preferred.
• Prior experience with SAP and/or in the foodservice or distribution industry is a plus.
• Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
• Excellent communication skills and a collaborative team approach.
• Demonstrated ability to learn quickly and adapt to new systems and processes.

Responsibilities

• Conduct detailed accounting reconciliations monthly
• Assist with month end journal entries: account for inventory, pending invoices, intercompany transactions, etc.
• Partner with Operations and communicate complex financial themes in a succint manner
• Maintain accurate standard costing to reflect true product profitability
• Financial analysis or costs and profitability trends
