CNC Machinist - 1st Shift

Resonant Sciences LLC has an opening for a hands‑on CNC Machinist to join our Dayton, Ohio team. The position provides an opportunity to join a fast‑paced elite team whose primary mission is to support our Nation's War Fighters. The candidate for this position shall be a self‑starter who can work independently, unsupervised, and with little guidance. The candidate will have an opportunity to be a member of a world‑class team consisting of talented and dedicated engineers, technicians, and professionals who work together to interrupt and challenge the status quo to design and develop state‑of‑the‑art technologies.

Duties And Responsibilities

• Operate 3‑axis, 4‑axis, and 5‑axis CNC machines during off‑shift or hybrid hours.
• Prove out NC programs and make necessary adjustments to speeds, feeds, and tool paths.
• Plan and execute machining tasks to meet schedule and quality requirements.
• Perform in‑process inspections to verify dimensional compliance.
• Perform routine machine maintenance and basic troubleshooting.
• Communicate status, issues, and improvements clearly across shifts.
• Assist with work instruction development when required.
• Perform other shop duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; vocational training strongly preferred.
• Minimum of five (5) years of CNC machining experience.
• Demonstrated ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Experience with 3‑axis and 5‑axis CNC machine setup and operation.
• Working knowledge of G‑code interpretation and modification.
• Proficient with precision inspection tools and methods.
• Strong understanding of engineering drawings, tolerances, and GD&T fundamentals.
• Organized, dependable, and adaptable to shifting priorities.
• Strong problem‑solving and communication skills, especially across shifts.

Citizenship/Security Clearance

• U.S. Citizenship required. Must be eligible to obtain and/or maintain a Secret security clearance. Active clearance preferred.
