Job Overview The Medical Staff Coordinator supports the medical staff committees and manages the credentialing and re‑credentialing processes for members of the Medical Staff and Allied Health Professionals. Responsibilities Supports the medical staff committees and the credentialing and re‑credentialing processes for members of the Medical Staff and Allied Health Professionals. Processes initial applications and reappointment applications in accordance with established policies, rules, regulations, bylaws, and regulatory government standards to ensure only qualified practitioners provide care within the hospital. Participates in projects initiated by the medical staff. Qualifications High School Diploma, Certificate, GED, training or experience required. Associate's or Bachelor's degree preferred. NMCC certification preferred with expectation to obtain it within 3 years of employment. Minimum of 3 years of experience in hospital or managed care credentialing. Detail‑oriented professional with knowledge of modern office equipment operations. Database and computer literacy required. Effective professional business written and verbal communication skills. Excellent customer service, organization, planning and time‑management skills.
