Work Schedule: Contract Days: 210 Qualifications Master’s degree in Education or a Master’s degree with 18 semester credit hours of graduate credit in Educational Administration. Possess or qualify to possess a valid New Mexico Educational Administrative License. Five years certified teaching experience in a secondary school, with three years preferred administration experience. Physical Requirements: Sitting, standing, lifting and carrying (up to 50 lbs.), reaching, squatting, kneeling, and possible Crisis Prevention and Intervention (CPI) restraint. Supervision: Under principal’s supervision, this position requires collaboration with the leadership team (Professional Learning Communities), partnering with Athletic Director, District Cabinet, and professional colleagues to carry out the vision of the principal and School District. Other supervisory responsibilities include all full‑time and part‑time building staff (including teachers), nurse, office and technical employees, counselors, ancillary staff, lunchroom supervisors, substitute teachers, student teachers, program directors, cooks, and custodians (sharing of supervision). Performance Responsibilities: Evaluate the performance of school employees and develop professional development plans or job improvement plans to assist employees in improvement. Take disciplinary action against school employees. Implement district attendance policy at the site level. Perform other duties assigned by the principal to implement policies of the local school board. Enforce all laws and rules applicable to the school, district, or educational program of the state agency. Exercise supervision over students on property belonging to the public school. Furnish all reports as required. Comply with state approved Code of Ethics of the educational profession. Knowledge of and implementation of federal, state and district 504 and SpEd related policies and regulations.
