Automation Test Engineer

Salary: $150,000 - 190,000 per year Requirements:

• More than 10 years of experience in software quality engineering, with a strong focus on automation
• Demonstrated success designing and owning automation frameworks from the ground up
• Strong background in automated testing architecture and test harness development
• Experience creating scalable QA processes and automation strategies
• Familiarity with AI-assisted testing methods
• Proficiency in Python, TypeScript, or comparable programming languages
• Strong scripting, tooling, and automation development capabilities
• Experience integrating automated tests into CI/CD pipelines
• Hands-on experience with GitHub Actions, Jenkins, or similar platforms
• Deep knowledge of unit, integration, end-to-end, regression, and performance testing
• Experience testing APIs, backend services, and distributed or event-driven systems
• Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills
• Proven ability to raise quality standards across engineering organizations
• Startup mindset with willingness to build processes, frameworks, and teams from scratch

• Experience with real-time systems, telephony platforms, call routing, or voice technologies is preferred
• Experience testing conversational AI or AI-powered applications is preferred

• Contract testing experience is preferred

• Previous experience building or leading QA organizations is preferred

• Define and own the overall quality engineering vision and automation strategy for an AI-powered voice platform
• Design, build, and maintain scalable automated testing infrastructure from the ground up
• Set testing standards, best practices, and quality metrics across engineering teams
• Recruit, mentor, and eventually lead future QA and automation team members
• Promote a strong culture of quality across the organization
• Design and implement automated testing frameworks for unit, integration, end-to-end, regression, and load or performance testing
• Build reusable test harnesses and tooling that help engineers create and run tests efficiently
• Develop simulation frameworks for real-time voice and conversational AI workflows
• Create testing approaches that can scale with rapid product growth
• Build simulation and regression frameworks for conversational AI scenarios
• Develop test approaches for real-time voice interactions and telephony workflows
• Use AI-assisted testing techniques to improve coverage and efficiency
• Validate agent behavior, routing logic, integrations, and patient call flows before production release
• Partner with platform, provisioning, and integrations teams to ensure coverage across system boundaries
• Test APIs, backend services, event-driven systems, and third-party integrations
• Own test environments and CI/CD integration for automated execution
• Investigate production issues and lead root cause analysis efforts
• Develop testing approaches that support HIPAA and healthcare compliance requirements
• Help ensure platform reliability, scalability, and quality standards are consistently upheld
• Drive preventative quality initiatives that reduce production defects and customer-impacting issues
