Sr. Accounting Manager

Sr. Accounting Manager (Palo Alto, CA)

We are hiring a Sr. Accounting Manager to run day-to-day accounting operations and build out financial controls as we scale operations. Reporting to the Corporate Controller, this person will own monthly close, financial reporting, and audit readiness in a fast-paced startup setting.

Responsibilities:

Own monthly/quarterly/annual close and GAAP-compliant consolidated financials
Review journal entries, reconciliations, and variance analysis
Build SOX 404-compliant internal controls
Lead first-ever external audit prep (PBC schedules, technical accounting questions)
Set up Sunshine Act and other regulatory reporting
Streamline close processes in NetSuite
Mentor and grow the accounting team

Qualifications:

8+ years accounting experience, 5+ in management, medical device industry background
Bachelor's in Accounting/Finance (Master's/MBA a plus)
CPA required, Big 4 or comparable audit experience preferred
Strong GAAP knowledge
Startup/scaling-company experience
Sunshine Act familiarity a plus; manufacturing cost accounting and ERP implementation experience a plus
