Computer Systems Coordinator I/II
$29.89 - $42 per hourCounty of Ventura
Benefits Merit Increases – New employees are eligible for an initial 5% merit increase within the pay range upon completion of at least 1,040 hours (approximately six months). Subsequent merit increases will be awarded after each additional 2,080 hours. Educational Incentive – 2.5% for an associate degree, 3.5% for a bachelor’s degree, or 5% for a graduate degree. Bilingual Incentive – $.69 per hour (Level I), $1.00 per hour (Level II), or $1.32 per hour (Level III). Flexible Workweek/Telework Schedule – compressed work options (e.g., 9/80, 4/10) and remote hybrid telework schedules for most positions. Vacation Accrual – ~14 days per year for the first 10,400 hours or five years of service, increasing to a maximum of 26 days and 400 vacation hours banked. Annual Leave Redemption – After 14,560 hours of continuous service, employees may redeem up to 80 hours of vacation accrued in the same year after using 80 hours of vacation in the preceding 12 months. Sick Leave – 3.08 hours per bi‑weekly pay period with a 40.04‑hour advance at hire, balanced after 13 bi‑weekly periods. Deferred Compensation – Participation in the County’s 401(k) Shared Savings Plan and/or Section 457 Plan. Up to a 3.00% match on 401(k) contributions. Health Plans – Flexible credit allowance up to $26,626 annually to offset medical, dental, and/or vision insurance for the employee and dependents. Flexible Spending Accounts – Pre‑tax benefit for eligible medical, dental, vision, and dependent care expenses. Pension Plan – Participation in the defined pension plan with reciprocity with CalPERS. Holidays – 12 paid days per year, including a scheduled floating holiday. Additional Benefits – Tuition reimbursement, disability plans, employee assistance program, life insurance, and wellness program. Payroll Titles and Salaries Office Systems Coordinator I – $29.89 – $42.00 Office Systems Coordinator II – $32.81 – $46.14 Responsibilities Under general supervision, provides technical assistance to department/agency personnel by supporting and coordinating tasks related to computers, networks, and office automation systems. Assists with (OSC I) or is responsible for (OSC II) vendor liaison and coordinates technical evaluation of products and product procurement with ISD. Coordinates software product and hardware configuration and installation of individual PCs and/or local area networks and data communications. Provides data communications analysis and support (OSC II). Provides technical assistance for user interface of office systems and large computer systems with ISD specialists. May perform (OSC I) or performs (OSC II) feasibility studies, minor systems maintenance, and micro‑computer application development as required by the department/agency. May assist management in establishing priorities and planning office automation needs. May provide (OSC I) or provide (OSC II) occasional systems maintenance and repair. May perform micro‑computer programming functions for users. Analyzes, designs, and develops micro‑computer programs (OSC II). Develops systems procedures for department/agency personnel on automated office systems use. May troubleshoot (OSC I) or troubleshoots (OSC II) ongoing department/agency problems associated with automated office systems and refers repairs to Information Systems staff. Performs other related duties as required. Typical Qualifications Some (OSC I) or considerable (OSC II) experience in automated computer and office systems coordination is required. This can be obtained by completing relevant computer systems coursework and two (2) years of related experience for OSC I, or three (3) years for OSC II. Depending on assignment, a valid California driver’s license may be required. Supplemental Information Work is performed primarily in an office environment.
