Job Responsibilities

• Fit, fabricate, and weld structural steel and aluminum components
• Perform SMAW (Stick) welding on structural assemblies
• Read and interpret structural and architectural blueprints
• Lay out structural members including wide flange beams, HSS tubing, and pipe
• Grind, sand, and finish fabricated components
• Operate overhead cranes and forklifts safely
• Verify measurements and maintain tight quality standards
• Work closely with production, shipping, and other departments to meet customer deadlines
• Maintain a safe, organized, and efficient work area

Qualifications
Required

• 4+ years of structural fabrication and welding experience
• Strong blueprint reading and layout skills
• Experience fitting structural steel components
• SMAW welding experience
• Ability to fabricate independently with minimal supervision
• Experience operating overhead cranes and/or forklifts
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
• Ability to lift up to 75 lbs.

Preferred

• Experience with ornamental steel or aluminum fabrication
• OSHA safety knowledge
• Experience working in a custom fabrication environment
• Strong teamwork and communication skills

Job Type & Location
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Oak Creek, WI.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $23.00 - $34.00/hr.
