Registered Nurse - Operating Room

Job Description

Job Summary:
Provide specialized nursing care to surgical patients in the operating room setting. Ensure patient safety and optimal outcomes through skilled clinical practices.

Responsibilities:

• Administer preoperative and intraoperative nursing care to patients undergoing surgical procedures.
• Monitor patient vital signs and respond to changes in condition promptly.
• Assist surgeons and surgical teams with sterile procedures and equipment.
• Maintain accurate and detailed patient documentation throughout the surgical process.
• Ensure compliance with safety protocols, infection control policies, and regulatory standards.
• Collaborate with anesthesia, surgical, and nursing teams to coordinate patient care.

Qualifications:

• Valid, unrestricted RN license in Arizona or participation in a compact license.
• Minimum of 2 years of operating room nursing experience.
• Certification in BLS and ACLS is required.
• Experience working in a Level 1 trauma center or high-volume orthopedic, trauma, or spine units.
• Proven ability to manage complex cases including neuro, trauma, and orthopedic surgeries.
• Ability to work night shift hours and adapt to floating requirements without restrictions.
