Logistics Accounting Analyst

We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Logistics Accounting Analyst to join our team in a fast-paced distribution center environment. This position is responsible for supporting and overseeing logistics accounting, billing, carrier invoice verification, reconciliations, and month-end reporting.

The ideal candidate will have a strong accounting or billing background, excellent Excel skills, and the ability to identify and resolve discrepancies while working closely with carriers, billing specialists, and management.

Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough billing verification to ensure accuracy
• Review and verify carrier invoices against applicable rates and charges
• Prepare and finalize month-end reports and accruals
• Prepare invoices for approval and payment processing
• Perform payment and account reconciliations
• Track and reconcile carrier aging statements
• Research and resolve invoice and billing discrepancies
• Communicate with carriers regarding billing issues and account discrepancies
• Provide guidance and oversight to Billing Specialists
• Maintain accurate accounting and billing records
• Assist management with logistics accounting and reporting needs
• Meet established deadlines in a high-volume, fast-paced environment

Qualifications

• 2–4 years of professional accounting, billing, accounts payable/receivable, or related experience
• Previous logistics, transportation, warehouse, or distribution experience is preferred
• Experience with TruckMate software is preferred but not required
• Strong proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to communicate professionally with carriers, coworkers, and all levels of management
• Ability to work independently while also contributing effectively within a team
• Ability to prioritize multiple responsibilities and meet strict deadlines

Work Environment & Physical Requirements

This position operates within a distribution center/warehouse environment and may require interaction with different areas of the facility.

Candidates must be able to:

• Lift up to 50 pounds when required
• Work while sitting or standing for extended periods
• Access and travel throughout different areas of a warehouse
• Work in areas with varying temperatures
• Safely work around forklifts, pallet jacks, reach trucks, clamps, scissor lifts, and other warehouse equipment
• Perform effectively in a fast-paced environment

Travel

Occasional travel may be required depending on business needs, including travel for meetings, training, or other work-related events.
