Project Management Specialist (Senior or Lead)

Position Responsibilities Level 4 Leads, develops, coordinates, integrates, analyzes, and maintains integrated plans and schedules for complex projects, programs and change driven activities in accordance with project management industry. Leads studies/analysis (trend, variance, impact), reports, risk assessments and planning efforts to determine impacts, constraints involving product development, production rates, process improvement, program initiatives. Identifies risk and opportunity potential, develops mitigation planning and refines the business case. Develops and establishes lead time requirements. Facilitates and ensures integration of project/program plan, schedules, change and baseline management, processes, techniques considered to be best practice across the industry. Acts as primary project contact to establish key stakeholder requirements and project objectives. Directs all phases of projects or subsystems of major projects from inception through completion. Coordinates commitments with internal and external stakeholders to fulfill strategies. Level 5 Oversees, develops, coordinates, integrates, analyzes, and maintains integrated plans and schedules for highly complex or difficult projects, programs and change driven activities to execute in accordance with project management industry standards. Directs and provides high level studies/analysis (trend, variance, impact), determines scope, reports, and oversight of planning requests. Identifies risk and opportunity potential, develops mitigation planning and refines the business case. Develops and executes the process and strategy for the integration of plans and schedules. Consults and recommends integrated planning, scheduling, change and baseline management, processes, techniques and tools to management considered to be best practices across the industry. Recognized as primary project contact to establish key stakeholder requirements and project objectives. Authorizes commitment of resources by obtaining approvals from stakeholders. Oversees deployment of approved recommendations at Division, Business Unit, and/or Enterprise levels. This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite in El Segundo, CA. Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience) Bachelor's degree or higher Active Security Clearance 5+ years of experience managing projects and utilizing standard project management tools 5+ years of experience using Microsoft Project Experience in product support 5+ years of experience leading teams or projects to successful completion 5+ years of experience developing and maintaining integrated resource-loaded project schedules, including the use of project management tools and software such as MS Project, Milestones, Primavera, Open Plan Professional, etc. Level 5 10+ years of experience managing projects and utilizing standard project management tools 10+ years of experience using Microsoft Project Experience in product support 10+ years of experience leading teams or projects to successful completion 10+ years of experience developing and maintaining integrated resource-loaded project schedules, including the use of project management tools and software such as MS Project, Milestones, Primavera, Open Plan Professional, etc. Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience) Experience with Advanced Composite Fabrication Experience directly supporting a proprietary program Experience using excellent verbal and written communication skills with leadership and colleagues in an operations environment. Additional Information This position requires travel up to 10% of the time Shift 1st Shift Relocation This position is located in a location that does not offer relocation.
