- Provide strategic legal advice that enables confident business decisions and supports TAL's growth.
- Guide the development and distribution of life insurance products while managing legal and regulatory risk.
- Negotiate commercial arrangements that strengthen partnerships and deliver business value.
- Protect TAL's interests across a range of corporate legal matters, including contracts and intellectual property.
- Ensure customer communications and marketing activities meet regulatory and compliance expectations.
- Influence business outcomes by identifying and responding to emerging regulatory developments.
- Contribute to industry reform and advocacy efforts that shape the future of life insurance and superannuation.
- Admitted legal practitioner with 5+ years' post qualification experience
- Strong knowledge of financial services regulation, including life insurance and consumer protection frameworks
- Excellent written communication and drafting skills, with the ability to simplify complex issues
- Sound commercial judgement and a balanced approach to legal risk and business outcomes
- Proven ability to manage competing priorities in a dynamic and evolving environment
- Collaborative, approachable style with a genuine commitment to knowledge sharing and team success
- Curiosity, adaptability and a proactive approach to industry developments and continuous learning
