Essential Requirements:

• Current Special Education Teacher certification issued by the state of South Carolina
• Experience supporting students in a resource classroom preferred
• Strong communication skills and a collaborative approach to working with fellow educators, support staff, and families
• Ability to create and follow individualized education plans (IEPs)
• Organizational skills and adaptability in a dynamic school setting

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement instruction tailored to students’ individual needs and learning plans
• Monitor student progress, document outcomes, and adjust teaching methods as needed
• Foster a supportive, inclusive classroom environment that promotes growth and confidence
• Collaborate with general education teachers, specialists, and administration to support student success
• Maintain accurate records in compliance with federal, state, and district regulations
• Engage students in meaningful activities to enhance both academic and social-emotional development
