Security Dispatcher

Job Summary

Under the general guidance of the Security Manager; receives and evaluates incoming emergency and non-emergency calls to Hendrick Security and dispatches Security officers to various locations within Hendrick Health properties. Coordinates communication between multiple agencies and departments. Monitors all surveillance cameras; remaining vigilant to developing situations that may require intervention; and directing officers accordingly.

Job Requirements

Minimum Education

• High school or equivalent

Minimum Work Experience

• 0 to 2 years relevant experience

Required Licenses/Certifications

Required Skills; Knowledge; and Abilities

• Ability to deal effectively with community; consumers; and hospital personnel
• Ability to handle confidential information
• Requires extreme diplomacy and tact
• Ability to collect relevant information on calls for service and relay that information to Security officers in the field
• Operate security electronic equipment including CCTV and access control
• Handles emergency or crisis situations
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Word; Excel; and CAD (Computer Aided Dispatch)
