Job Description Job Description Our two clinics The Vet Wellness Center of Green and The Vet Wellness of North Canton are looking to hire a full and or part-time RVT. Yes, we realize everyone is looking to hire. You can look at any ad and see the same requirements. We are no different, so I feel I don't need to list all the qualities and skills we are looking for. What you do need to know, is we don't just talk the talk, we walk the walk. I know many in the field won't leave because "why do I want to go somewhere else that doesn't appreciate me" or "I don't need a life" or "I'm used to not having a life." As an RVT of 15 years , 5 of them being a Practice Manager, "Yes you need a life." and "Yes the grass can be greener". Allow me to share some facts about our clinic: Independently owned (no corporate here) We practice good medicine. In 2023, the average overtime was 1.25 hours...per month. Can you say work life balance? It can happen in this field. If you are asked to stay after hours for an emergency surgery you are compensated with a small bonus, along with your hourly rate. Our hours are 9a-6p M-F, Saturday 8:30a-1p You will have 1 day off during the week and every other Saturday off. If you work a Saturday you get an additional 1/2 a day off for that week. Full time employees receive a $250 a month retention stipend. Our team hangs out together away from work. We actually have a training and mentoring program. Management praises the team for the awesome job they do and holds them accountable for areas that need improvement. We offer vet discounts up to 5 pets Everyone signs a no gossip agreement. (We aren't naive, we know it happens on occasion, but it's not the back stabbing, "mean girl" baloney.) You begin earning PTO day one of hire. Management empowers the team. Personal IRA with 3% match. It isn't all butterflies and rainbows. We have our moments. But they are discussed, resolved quickly and moved on.
