St. Joseph’s University Medical Center is seeking a Pediatric Otolaryngologist to join the Division of Otolaryngology within the Department of Surgery. As we continue to grow and expand, the Division of Otolaryngology at St. Joseph’s University Medical Center is seeking a BC/BE Otolaryngologist for a General ENT position based at our main campus in Paterson, NJ. The successful candidate will have completed an ACGME-accredited residency program and be Board Eligible/Board Certified. Responsibilities Triage and care for ENT patients using accepted standards of practice. Develop a plan of care for each patient, including complete history, physical examination, diagnosis, appropriate treatment and/or referral, and use all available resources in an appropriate and cost-efficient manner. Treat patients and perform services in the ENT clinic. Reasonably participate in medical education of residents as deemed necessary by the Residency Program Director and the Chairperson of Surgery. Interact with surgical and consulting physicians, outside departments, nursing and ancillary personnel to improve patient care. Make appropriate specialty and subspecialty referrals, but maintains responsibility, assuring continuing of care. Perform administrative and other related duties as reasonably directed by the Chairperson of Surgery. Participate in regular call coverage. Support the activities of the ENT division and the Surgery Department inclusive of quality improvement/assurance activities. Attend and participates in St. Joseph’s Health activities as requested. Complete records in adequate professional detail, and in a timely manner using electronic medical record (EMR) system. Maintain and acquire knowledge and skills to perform required duties to meet all hospital, state, organizational and licensure requirements.
