Job Description:

The Registered Nurse position in the Med/Surg unit involves providing care to adult patients with various medical and surgical conditions, including post-surgical, stroke, oncology, and respiratory issues. The nurse will work 12-hour night shifts and may occasionally assist with pediatric and psychiatric patients. Floating across designated hospital floors is required.

Responsibilities:

• Administer chest tubes, trachs, and manage PICC/midlines/central lines.
• Perform foley catheterization, NG tube insertion, and dressing changes.
• Utilize wound vacs and manage ostomies.
• Monitor patients using telemetry and document in Epic EMR.

Requirements:

• Minimum 2 years of MedSurg nursing experience.
• BLS and ACLS certifications; must pass tele exam during compliance. PALS preferred.
• Experience with chest tubes, trachs, central lines, and tele-monitoring.
• Experience with pediatrics and psychiatric patients is preferred but not required.
