Make a difference while advancing your occupational therapy career in a vibrant educational setting near Tacoma, WA. A full-time, onsite opportunity is available to provide direct OT support to secondary students, while also supervising a talented COTA. This contract position extends through June 23, 2027, allowing you to build lasting relationships and create meaningful impact in students’ lives.
Key Requirements:
- Active Washington OT License
- Completed fingerprinting with OSPI
- Proven experience in school-based occupational therapy, ideally with adolescents
- Skilled in supervising and supporting COTAs
- Strong communication, documentation, and collaboration abilities
- Passion for promoting independence and access for students with diverse needs
Primary Responsibilities:
- Deliver individualized and group OT services to secondary students as identified in IEPs
- Assess student needs and develop personalized intervention plans
- Collaborate closely with teachers, support staff, and families
- Supervise and mentor a COTA, ensuring quality of care
- Maintain detailed records and provide progress reports
- Foster an inclusive and supportive school environment
This position is onsite only, offering the chance to fully immerse yourself in the school community. Full-time scheduling at 37.5 hours per week ensures a consistent routine through the academic year.
