Assembler

Job Title: Assembler Shift: Monday- Friday 6:00am- 2:40pm Pay Rate: $20.50- $24.00 Position Description: Assemblers perform various tasks here a Wabash that vary from location to location. We have Assemblers that are responsible for anything from installing and assembling subassemblies and component parts to operating rivet punchers to installing decals and much more in between Essential Duties and Responsibilities: As mentioned above Assemblers can be responsible for a multitude of things, below are examples of the type of duties you could be responsible for: Own and help improve are Safety, Quality, and Delivery, performance Keeping their work area free of any potential work hazards Caulking materials Measuring and cutting material Installing rivets Operating heavy machinery Installing truck bed flooring Following decal templates/ blueprints Install signs, reflectors, fenders, mud flaps and other associated parts Performs additional work as assigned by the Supervisor or Team leader. This may require the employee to flex into another department Wear approved personal protective equipment such as safety shoes, gloves, safety glasses with side shields, respirators, hearing protection, etc. Complete assigned duties in accordance with safety policies and practices. This includes regard to individual safety, the safety of co-workers and the safe use of equipment in the workplace. Tools & Equipment: Below is a list of examples of the potential tools and equipment you may find yourself working with depending upon your department and location. Wabash provides all the necessary training for you to feel comfortable and confident to perform your new job: Circular Saws Drills Impacts Rivet Guns Staplers Caulk Applicators Routers Qualifications: Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screen Basic reading /writing/ & verbal skills Knowledge, Training, Skills and/or Experience: Experience and education are great to come into this position with. However, it's not required, here at Wabash, we give you the training to become comfortable in any Assembler position. Upon receiving an offer letter from us, you'll undergo orientation and several days of training, preparing you for the production floor.
