A contract paraprofessional position is available close to the beautiful Evergreen area, where you’ll support a delightful 5th grade student with a cognitive disability in a nurturing and inclusive elementary school environment.

Enjoy a balanced workweek with a four-day schedule, Monday through Thursday, from 7:45 am to 3:45 pm. This role provides the chance to develop meaningful, one-on-one connections and foster growth and independence for your student while working alongside dedicated educators.

Qualifications:

• Experience as a paraprofessional or supporting students in a school setting
• Familiarity or direct experience working with children with cognitive or developmental disabilities
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with teachers and support staff
• Patience, empathy, and a genuine enthusiasm for helping children succeed
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and uphold professional boundaries

Responsibilities:

• Provide individualized support to a 5th grade student during classroom activities, transitions, and daily routines
• Assist with academic tasks, organization, and participation, adapting materials or methods as needed
• Implement strategies and accommodations as outlined in the student’s learning plan
• Support social and emotional growth, fostering self-esteem and engagement
• Collaborate closely with classroom teachers and school teams to monitor progress and share insights
• Maintain a safe, supportive, and encouraging learning environment
