Description
- Conduct thorough evaluations of patients in both inpatient and outpatient settings, while crafting personalized treatment strategies.
- Implement physical therapy interventions that focus on enhancing mobility, strength, balance, and overall functional ability.
- Collaborate effectively with nurses, physicians, case managers, and fellow rehab professionals to optimize patient outcomes.
- Educate patients and their families about therapeutic objectives, discharge planning, and exercises for home practice.
- Keep comprehensive records of evaluations, treatments, and patient progress according to facility and regulatory standards.
- Engage in care team rounds and interdisciplinary conferences to ensure unified care delivery.
Education
- Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) or an equivalent qualification from a recognized institution.
Certifications
- State licensure as a Physical Therapist
- CPR certification is recommended
- Specialized certifications (e.g., neurological, geriatric) will be considered an advantage but are not mandatory
Skills
- A strong background is highly preferred
