Salary: $92,500 - 209,500 per year Requirements:

• Bachelors or masters degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related discipline, or equivalent practical experience.
• At least 4 years of professional software development experience; candidates with an advanced degree may have fewer years of experience.
• Proficiency in at least one object-oriented or systems programming language, such as Java, C++, C#, or Go.
• Experience designing and developing backend services, APIs, microservices, SDKs, or developer-facing platform capabilities.
• Knowledge of distributed systems, data structures, algorithms, object-oriented design, and secure software development practices.
• Experience with API design, integrations, versioning, testing, source control, and production troubleshooting.
• Strong problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills, along with a demonstrated sense of ownership.
• Preferred: Experience developing highly available, scalable cloud services or platform products.
• Preferred: Experience with RESTful APIs, containers, cloud-native deployment, observability, or service reliability engineering.

• Design, develop, test, and operate backend platform components, APIs, SDKs, and integration frameworks used by OCI services and customers.
• Take ownership of a defined platform area and evolve its contracts, versioning, and interoperability for secure, multi-tenant use.
• Investigate and resolve complex issues across a defined group of distributed services, delivering compatibility-safe fixes and clear upgrade paths.
• Improve availability, performance, capacity, and operability through resilience patterns, monitoring, logging, and automation.
• Work with engineers across OCI to understand consumer needs, review designs and code, and support adoption of platform capabilities.
• Produce clear technical documentation, examples, and operational guidance for platform users.
• Contribute to service support and ongoing improvement, including incident investigations and root-cause follow-up.
